Sr Kate’ testimony

Interview with Sister Kate

“At the age of twenty-five I took the risk to go through the door of religious life, unsure if it was for me, but realising there was only one way to find out! It opened up a life of service, encounters, opportunities which I never could have imagined. I discovered what it means to be ‘me’ (the person God is creating me to be) in community with others who want to make a difference to our world. Walking this path has stretched me and enlarged my perspective and my heart. One thing I can say is that God is always with me, during both the happy and the hard times and continues to teach me how to love.

Since 2011 we have been part of the province of Europe-Togo and this has expanded my horizons considerably. London, Paris, Rome now feel like home. As a Cenacle Sister I have received formation as a spiritual director and trainer and love working in the field of Ignatian spirituality. I have particularly enjoyed supporting our sisters in initial training in the congregation.

Above all I am a ‘sister’ amongst ‘the sisters’ as we accompany the men and women of today in their search for God.”
