Spiritual Centre of Versailles

Presentation of the centre

After having walked along a large avenue, passed the gate and taken a few steps on the gravel path, the statue of Saint Regis and the large trees of the English park open our arms. This large eighteenth-century house, which borders the park, is the spiritual centre of Versailles.

Located twenty minutes by train from the centre of Paris, very close to the Versailles Chantiers train station and 800 metres from the Palace of Versailles, the Cenacle Spiritual Centre is a place where spiritual retreats, activities and various training courses are offered throughout the year.

The three-hectare English-style park, a veritable green setting at the gateway to Paris, with its tall trees, pond and shady paths, makes this place a true haven of peace in the heart of the city.

The centre welcomes you with its :

• 2 conference rooms (90 and 30 people), 6 meeting rooms (5 to 15 people) and 1 relaxation room.
• 3 dining rooms (20, 24 and 30 people)
• 15 double rooms, 9 single rooms, equipped with shower and toilet, accessible by lift.
• A private car park

Discernments and vocations

Far from being reserved for practising Christians alone, spiritual accompaniment is offered to all, because we all ask ourselves the question of the meaning of our lives and our actions. A regular, attentive and benevolent listening, in the light of the Gospel, can help us to speak for ourselves, to be unified and to unfold ourselves by making choices.

"Accompanying means helping someone to say to himself, it means sending the person back to what makes him unique".

Spiritual Centre of Versailles 3

Alone or in a group, in the dynamics of the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius or not, in silence... A retreat is a few hours or a few days to stop, to rediscover the flavour of the Gospel and the relationship with God.

Retraites et haltes spirituelles

As Cenacle sisters, we support the promotion of Christian life. We are involved in our local parish and also participate in the life of the diocese.

Parish and Diocesan Ministry 1

Come and meet us, share convivial moments with us or times of prayer.

Sharing with the communities

The Cenacle Sisters are committed to accompanying young adults in spiritual direction, vocational guidance and participation in discernment groups.

Avec les jeunes

Yes, praying can be learnt, just like one learns to read, play the violin or play rugby! And learning to pray is listening to the Word of God and recognising it present and at work in your life.

Prier 12

As Cenacle Sisters we support people in their life of faith in diverse ways. Sisters work with others in parishes, dioceses and spirituality centres to provide formation and training in spiritual direction, catechesis and theological education.

Communauté de Versailles 6

The path of faith is different for each person, as is the vocation to love, which is personal and unique. The Cenacle, through each of the proposals, is a space to make this journey.

The Sisters of the Cenacle are particularly attentive to helping young people to make choices in their lives and to discern their vocation: marriage, consecrated life, priesthood.

Sisters’ communities
All passionate, the sisters welcome individuals or groups who wish to take a step back, exchange or pray. Throughout the year, the community of sisters also animates various proposals, such as "life choice" retreats, training courses...

Volunteers
The mission is carried out by the sisters of the community and by lay volunteers. Volunteers take a full part in the life of the centre. They lead meetings, offer spiritual guidance, and participate in the life of the house: welcome service, gardening, communication work, sewing...
Sponsorship, a gift that makes sense

We all have people around us who are searching for God, sometimes even without knowing it, but who cannot afford a few days of retreat and rest to meet Him.

With sponsorship, we offer the possibility of helping these people financially. Thanks to donations, we can welcome them and allow them to live a time of retreat.
