Our mission depends on your donations !

The Cenacle Sisters live their consecration to God through the three dimensions of their Mission: prayer, community and apostolic service according to the Constitutions of the Congrgation.

Your donations help us to continue and develop our mission of support and listening to all those we serve through our various ministries, especially all who search for meaning and purpose in their lives.

We are, truly grateful for any extra support that you can offer.

Testimonials and feedback

“Listening is an important part of my ministry one that teaches me that I do not have all the answers. It deepens my desire to pray more for those who are in need and to rejoice with those who are happy. It also helps me to be grateful and appreciate all I have received from God through others” (Sr Kate Dryhurst. Liverpool Community)

“In walking with people in retreats, spiritual direction and volunteering at a refugee centre, I find that all aspects of our mission are being lived. In every situation I am called to be a welcoming presence to all. Invited into the lives of people calls me to listen deeply and ‘be with’ them. There are many people of different cultures here in this vast city of London. how can I not be touched, when I hear the stories of their joys and sorrows, as they seek to find God. “This calls me to pray with and for them both personally and in our community prayer. (Sr. Ann Turner London Community)

“I saw goodness written on everything” (St. Therese Couderc Foundress) What a rich legacy from Mother Therese, and how sad it feels when people do not appreciate the goodness around them, the gifts from our loving God. Constantly we hear the cry for help with prayer and getting to know God. In response to this we run courses to help people find their God. We offer spiritual direction to individuals to help them in their search to deepen their relationship with God and also retreats in person and on-line. For some people a few hours away on our quite days helps them enjoy peace and quiet away from the hustle of daily life. We endeavour to share the goodness we find with those who are searching, knowing sometimes we struggle to find that Goodness which is the reflection of the God of Love. The privilege of walking with another reminds us of that goodness.”

(Sr. Winifred Morley Liverpool Community)

We do ask for remuneration for our ministries according to people’s means, however, we try to make ourselves available to all who turn to us and would never refuse anyone because of financial limitations.

It is a great help to us if you are able to make a donation to support our ministry of listening and accompaniment of others.

Please send donations to any of our communities (cheques payable to The Cenacle).

Maintenance of the park at the spiritual centre of Versailles

Do you know this place? Do you like it? Then help us take care of it! The park of the spiritual centre of Versailles has known many winters and storms, and although nature is full of resources, we sometimes lack them! Planting, pruning, raking, cutting, mowing, cleaning the pond... it's work and expense. To ensure that the park can always welcome and embellish your retreats and gatherings, your donations are precious.

Buying a car in Vogan, Togo

Even if there are still motorbike taxis, the sisters of the Cénacle were in great need of a new car, as the old one was slowly but surely starting to touch the ground between the tyres... A car, in itself, costs a lot of money, but in Togo, it is even more expensive! For example, if you convert the currency into euros :

A meal in a restaurant = 3€.

A packet of cigarettes = 1,5€.

A new car = 53000€!

Why is that? Because it is an imported product, and because it is not considered a basic necessity.

You can help us collect this amount by making a donation directly via this page.

Giving one's time

To be a spiritual guide, to lead training courses, to make spiritual centres live with us, and much more... And to join a whole family united by the same mission: to make Jesus Christ known!

Whatever your availability and abilities, if you are interested in volunteering at the Cenacle, please do not hesitate to contact us.
