Session on affective life

Towards a common mission of accompaniment

On 21st/ 22nd February 2022, 18 sisters (14 in person and 4 by videoconference) from the Cenacle communities of Kremlin-Bicêtre, Paris, Rome, Toulouse, Versailles and Vogan (in Togo) met at the Cenacle Spiritual Centre in Versailles, to work and exchange ideas on how help each other to accompany young people in their affective life.

The Cenacle Sisters meet regularly to reflect on their ministry of Spiritual accompaniment, which is at the heart of their ministry. These days were facilitated by Mrs. Hélène Chavannes, a marriage counsellor who is known to the Cenacle, Sisters Erica Ritter, Claire de Leffe and Anne-Catherine Simon.

The group was happy with the contributions from the speakers and the sharing of best practices, questioning and personal reflections and the small group work which gave them tools to take back with them to their communities. The anthropological contribution from Hélène Chavannes was complimented by a theological contribution by Arthur de Leffe, a priest of the diocese of Toulouse, by videoconference.

The sisters returned to their respective communities, happy with this time of sharing and learning.
