“Grow old gracefully!”
From 28-30 March 2023, 15 Sisters of the Cenacle had the joy of meeting in Versailles to experience together a seminar on the theme:
“HOW CAN WE CONTINUE TO EXIST FULLY EVEN AS WE GROW OLDER?”
Our joy was all the greater as we came from several countries: England (London), Italy (Turin and Rome) and France (Marseille, Toulouse, Lyon, Paris and Versailles). To facilitate our exchanges, we were lucky enough to be accompanied by a very good professional interpretress.
A pair of Sisters from Toulouse and Paris took on the task of animating the meeting, which created a very good climate for sharing.

Simplicity, truth, trust and freedom were the words that came back at the end of the session. We had a common human ground, by our vocation but also by our age.
We enjoyed sharing what made us feel alive at the apostolic level, but also the difficulties we encountered as we grew older. Difficulties that do not break our life’s momentum, nor our desire to transmit and share our riches.
An external intervention allowed us to situate ourselves in front of these difficulties and also to discover the “hidden gifts” of this stage, like treasures in the field of our experience.

In our sharing we discovered a convergence of our deepest desires: to go towards “being” more than “doing”, but also to give all that we can.
There is still a vitality in us that wants to blossom.
The surprise was the moment of gratuity with the beautiful ride by “Bateau Mouche” and the good restaurant in the evening!

The Versailles community and the setting of the house were also a good support.
We will continue to walk together, to share…until the next step!
