Community Triduum in Montmartre (France)
We have had our community triduum in Montmartre, beginning with the vespers of the Feast of the Ascension and ending with the Feast of Our Lady of the Cenacle. We had chosen to pray with three mysteries which took place in the Upper Room:
- 1st day: the Last Supper and the Washing of the Feet
- 2nd day: the appearances of the Risen Christ without and with Thomas
- 3rd day: the time of the Cenacle between Ascension and Pentecost.
Three of us were in charge of the daily animation and handouts for prayer, with biblical brands, paintings and spiritual texts. Anything to feed each one of us “in their own species”! It enabled us to have each day a sharing enriching our prayer. And this was a way of continuing to build our community.

On the day after, Sunday, we all went to mass together in the church of St Ignatius for the blessing and installation of a portrait of Mother Therese in one of the chapels. It was the initiative of the chaplain Fr Nicolas Rousselot, Jesuit, who wished that feminine saints of the ignatian family took place next to the Jesuit saints represented in the church. Mother Therese has thus joined Blessed Eugénie Smet (founder of the Helpers) and will soon be joined by St Madeleine-Sophie Barat and St Philippine Duchesne (founder of the sisters of the Sacred Heart sisters and missionary in Quebec).
This was the opportunity to gather with some of our sisters from Versailles and Kremlin-Bicêtre and with some members of the ‘Groupement Séculier’ and a friend and collaborator of Versailles.
A great time of ignatian fraternity and reunion among us!
