The Versailles Orchestra

Gold and clay
This is the reality of our Congregation, our Province and our community.
I looked for another image to express how I feel and experience our community and my place here.
It’s the image of an orchestra. Each of us plays a unique, precious instrument, unlike any other.
There is a great diversity of instruments in our orchestra. Some are wind instruments, others are string or percussion instruments. Some need more space than others, which are small or slender, and there is a wide variety of sounds and volumes.
Each of us is in the best place for herself with her beautiful instrument.
Each of us listens to the others in order to play in harmony.
All of us have our eyes fixed on the orchestra leader who sets the rhythm. But she herself, like each of us, is above all attentive to the Spirit of life and love that animates us. We have decided, each and every one of us, to let ourselves be guided by it.
There are regular rehearsals, and we attend them assiduously.
Sometimes there are wrong notes. So, we take the time to retune our instruments.
I am happy to play my instrument and I feel comfortable, at home in this community.
