Thanksgiving celebration at the Cenacle in Turin

The community of the Sisters of the Cenacle in Turin continues its mission!

A profound atmosphere of warmth and heartfelt gratitude embraced the Sisters of Turin on Saturday, 13th September. For this special occasion, they had the immense joy of welcoming cherished friends, family members, and Sisters from other countries for a celebration of thanksgiving by the Turin Cenacle. This gathering was an unforgettable moment of communion and unity.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who answered the call and came to share this powerful moment alongside the Sisters of Turin. Their presence was what made the day so meaningful.

Here are some testimonies that illustrate the beauty of this shared experience:

Testimony of Cinzia and Alessandro

On Saturday, 13 September, in Turin, we experienced a moment of profound gratitude and communion in the celebration of thanksgiving for the ministry of the Sisters of the Cenacle in our city. The participation was warm and heartfelt: songs, faces, friendships and stories intertwined in an atmosphere of celebration and spirituality.
It was an emotionally rich gathering, which brought together the Cenacle community and many people from the Church of Turin. Many shared the sign of a journey crossed with the Sisters of the Cenacle, in a mosaic of spiritual life that continues to bear fruit.
In all this, the presence of the Spirit was alive and palpable, giving us moments of authentic joy and deep communion.
Sincere thanks to all those who made this day possible.

Testimony of Maria Grazia

There is no greater way to thank the Lord than to celebrate the Eucharistic liturgy.

This is what we did on 13 September to give thanks to God for the mission of the Sisters of the Cenacolo in Turin. The sisters of Mother Thérèse Couderc care for spiritual poverty, a demanding and urgent mission even today, which requires listening and accompaniment. I have benefited from this. Guided by the sisters, I have learned the art of silence, the path of prayer, and fidelity to daily encounters with the Lord.

Testimony of the Maranatha group

Dear sisters of the Cenacle,

We participated in the celebration on 13 September to express our sincere gratitude for the warm welcome and unconditional hospitality you have shown us over the years during our monthly prayer meetings. Your openness and warmth have been a precious gift to our group. The constant presence of one of your sisters has made our moments together even more meaningful, a tangible sign of communion and great encouragement. We will never forget the generosity and evangelical spirit with which you have always welcomed us, a concrete sign of the Lord’s love.

Thank you for everything.

Testimony of Sr Maurizia rc

The thanksgiving Mass on 13 September was very moving for me. I was particularly touched by the large number of people who attended, who also contributed to the animation of the liturgy and expressed their gratitude and closeness to the sisters of the Turin community through their words, gestures of affection and the time spent after the celebration around the buffet in a simple and convivial atmosphere.

Excerpt from a letter from the Archbishop of Turin, Cardinal Roberto Repole, to our Provincial Superior, Sr. Kate Stogdon

The long presence of the “Sisters of the Cenacle” in our Diocese, dating back 144 years, is a great grace. The history of many of you has intertwined with that of Turin, encountering faces, stories, situations, and many questions to which you have sought to provide answers in the light of your charism.

Even while closing the historic presence at Piazza Gozzano, you have chosen to remain in the city so as not to definitively sever the ties with this place and to continue, in the ways the Lord will reveal to you, the commitment to spiritual animation that you have carried forward throughout all these years. I am happy and grateful for this. […]

From the beginning of my ministry as Bishop of the dioceses of Turin and Susa, I have recalled, among the three fundamental criteria for being Church, the importance of the living listening to the Word of God and of formation.

To the strengthening of this criterion, you have offered your competence, spaces, and time over the years, sustained by the solid and ever-valid spirituality of Ignatius of Loyola. Through it, many people have come into deeper contact with their own lives, often creating new paths. I am pleased to know that this is a small flame that will not be extinguished, in whose light other people will be able to continue illuminating their spiritual journeys…
