From 1 September to 4 October 2025, Christians are invited to celebrate the Season of Creation. It is a time of prayer and action, so that everyone can take care of our common home, as Pope Francis recommended in his encyclical Laudato Si’, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. It is also an opportunity to celebrate the 800th anniversary of St Francis of Assisi’s ‘Canticle of the Creatures’.

This year’s theme, ‘Garden of Peace’, is inspired by the Book of Isaiah (32:14-18). The dove carrying the olive branch is the blessed messenger. Its return is a sign of new peace after the violence and destruction of the Flood.

Several events, conferences and prayers are being organised, inviting us to protect the garden of Creation and live in peace.
