Celebrating 117 years of ministry in Liverpool
On the Saturday 4th October we had the privilege of welcoming Archbishop John and many friends and family to celebrate 117 years of Cenacle ministry in Liverpool and to mark the sad closure of our ministry in Liverpool.
During our years in Liverpool, we have had the privilege of preparing people for the Sacraments and through our retreats and quiet day have helped them to an experience of God’s love for them and to value the place of silence in their lives.
Through our prayer ministry we have offered a listening ear at troubled times in people’s lives and at times of the loss of a loved one.
Through our training programmes people have acquired skills to assist other in their spiritual growth, particularly in the ministry of Spiritual accompaniment.
We would like to thank the people who have supported us in so many ways and in turn ministered to us.
As we move into the next stage of our journey in the words of our foundress St. Therese Courderc, we shall continue “to do good in the shade”.
